Then there are the Crane Sisters, absolutely identical twins to the last detail, who dress exactly the same at all times and do everything else in stereo, but who become offended when the boyfriend of one of them cannot tell them apart. The scene where the students take over a classroom (and even perform a musical number) in the absence of the professor, who is profoundly tardy, brought me another smile, especially since that trope was spoofed to death in one of my favorite cartoon series (Tiny Toon Adventures). Instead, the audience is invited in to enjoy the hijinks and the clowning. ![]() ![]() What makes this collection of cliches and stereotypes palatable (and the movie enjoyable) is that it doesn't at all take itself seriously.
